IT'S ALL HERE! 5 STARS

Adventure and fantasy, it's all here!
Shifters Alliance does what most books strive for,
to take us away from our daily struggles, concerns, stressses, etc., whatever may be the case, but this book just does it better to than most.
Thank you Shaun.

RICH, VIVID, COMPLEX FANTASY NOVEL FOR BOTH TEENS AND ADULTS 5 STARS

Shaun Griffiths wrote a memorable fantasy adventure, intriguing for both teenagers and adults. The book is well-written and well-paced, filled with vivid descriptions of an ancient world that opens a border into a reality no one could have imagined.
The story begins with a clan defending their lands and capturing an enemy, who soon turns into a cat-like creature. I enjoyed the disbelief of the characters; the realistic reactions to an unrealistic scenario. How would I react if a man turned into a beast? Certainly with a mixture of wonder and practicality. The clan decides to hold the creature captive, hoping to use him as a pawn in a struggle over captured towns people and land. But the story delivers a surprising twists, and enemies form unexpected alliances in a conflict far greater than they anticipated.
The themes in the book are thoughtful and certainly educational for young adults. There are conflicts between family members; especially a boy's difficult relationship to his father that is easily related to and heart-wrenching. There are themes of loyalty, testing loyalty and finding one's own truth. There is a theme of conflict resolution, of aligning versus competing; of negotiating versus fighting.
A story well told. Surprising and captivating.
What I liked most was the real-life quality inside the fantasy world. The novel doesn't exceed the limit of what is believable, which some fantasy books do. The characters stay believable in an unusual situation.
