Identity Crisis 2029: Book One

Identity Crisis 2029: Book One

Short Novel by J. D. Brink

$3.99 available in bundle

The future of the Identity Crisis Universe hangs in the balance.

A swarm of biomechanical monsters attack the Volans Space Station, thrusting Earth’s Apex superheroes onto the frontline of an interstellar war.

Nuclear colossus Adam Smasher is the most powerful man on the planet, with an ego to match.

An orphan of alien gladiator circuits, the relentless warrior Ballista now fights to protect her adopted home.

And Symian’s inhuman genius could only be born from the unfettered jungles of the Congo.

Together they are the future’s greatest (dysfunctional) superhero team.

And they’re the only thing standing between an alien beachhead and the billions of innocent lives below.

In the genre-crossing tradition of Guardians of the Galaxy, Infinity Gauntlet, and Secret Wars, Invasion is a non-stop romp of superheroes, space opera, and pure pulp fun.  J. D. Brink brings you another series of mature spandex adventure for grownup fanboys and fangirls everywhere, no matter your timeline.

If taking a college fencing class, eating from the trash can, and smelling like an animal were qualifications for becoming a sword-swinging barbarian, J. D. Brink might be Conan’s protégé. But since that career path seemed less than promising, he has instead been a sailor, spy, nurse, and officer in the U.S. Navy, as well as a gravedigger, insurance adjuster, and school teacher in civilian life. Today (spring, 2016) he and his family are stationed in Japan, where he’s providing a bad example for all Americans. In his writing, as in life, Mr. Brink enjoys dabbling in multiple genres.
