Identity Crisis 2029: Book One

Identity Crisis 2029: Book One

Short Novel by J. D. Brink

$4.99 available in bundle

Superheroes, space opera, and pure pulpy fun.

An attack on a new space station thrusts Earth’s greatest heroes onto the frontlines of an interstellar war.

An orphan of alien gladiator circuits, Ballista now fights to protect her adopted home. Nuclear colossus Adam Smasher is the most powerful man on the planet, with an ego to match. And Symian’s inhuman genius could only be born from the unfettered jungles of the Congo. Together they are the future’s greatest (dysfunctional) superhero team.

This battle will be like none they’ve faced before: fought not only against the black void of space, but also against the enemy within.

The future of the Identity Crisis Universe hangs in the balance. J. D. Brink brings another series of mature spandex adventure to grownup fanboys and fangirls of every timeline.

If taking a college fencing class, eating from the trash can, and smelling like an animal were qualifications for becoming a sword-swinging barbarian, J. D. Brink might be Conan’s protégé. But since that career path seemed less than promising, he has instead been a sailor, spy, nurse, and officer in the U.S. Navy, as well as a gravedigger, insurance adjuster, and school teacher in civilian life. Today (spring, 2016) he and his family are stationed in Japan, where he’s providing a bad example for all Americans. In his writing, as in life, Mr. Brink enjoys dabbling in multiple genres.
